THUTOBOPHELO TRAINING AND SKILLS ACADEMY


Thutobophelo Training and Skills Academy is situated in Pretoria, and was founded in 2008, although the Academy goes back 20+ years. 

The Academy is accredited with HWSETA to provide the Frail Care Worker programme as part of the full qualification in Ancillary Health Care (ID 49606), as well as to provide a Community Health Worker Qualification NQF level 4 (ID 64697).

 


The Academy commits itself to:
  • Regarding the learner as an independent holistic adult learner.
  • Respecting learner rights with special attention to the sensitivity of cultural and language differences in the learning environment.
  • Providing an optimal learning environment.
  • Providing a unique training and skills development programme which empowers the learners with the necessary knowledge, skills, values and attitudes, to tend to all the needs of the elderly as individuals at home or in a frail care centre.
  • Guiding learners with regard to developing successful career paths within the Health sector.
Thutobophelo Training and Skills Academy is associated with approved Clinical Facilities to enable learners to gain clinical exposure where they can develop the necessary skills within their scope of practice to provide competent and comprehensive frail care at all levels in the community.

Our Training personnel are registered as Assessors and/or Moderators with HWSETA and are 
committed to providing quality training.
