Competition Terms and Conditions
- SPONSOR:
- The sponsor is: Thutobophelo Training and Skills Academy, hereafter named TTSA, (company no. 2013/001464/07) whose registered office is at 270 Struben Street, Pretoria.
- ELIGIBILITY:
- The competition is open to residents of South Africa aged 18 years or over.
- Employees of TTSA and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition are not permitted to participate in the giveaway.
- To be eligible for the Health Promotional Officer bursary, the winner must have completed Matric (Grade 12) [or equivalent qualification] and must be able to supply a certified copy of their Matric Certificate or equivalent qualification in order to claim the bursary.
- If the winner does not have a Matric Certificate but does have a Grade 9 or higher qualification (or equivalent qualification), they will first have to complete a three-month Foundational Learning Competencies programme. The tuition costs for this will be included in the bursary. Once they have completed this programme, they will go on to study Health Promotional Officer. Both programmes will be included in the bursary.
- By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
- PRIZE:
- The winning entry will receive a bursary from TTSA that will include the tuition and work experience costs of the Health Promotional Officer learnership programme and if the do not have a Matric, it will also include the tuition costs for Foundational Learning Competency programme.
- All additional expenses (ie accommodation, food, travel and other costs associated with the learnership) will be for the winner’s own account. The winner will be required to sign a contact with TTSA that absolves TTSA from any additional costs.
- All entrants must be able to fulfill the obligations of this 12-month full-time learnership course.
- The winner must be able to start the programme during 2021 and must indicate their preferred starting date as either 12 July 2021 or 13 September 2021 for the Health Promotional Officer course.
- If they have to complete the Foundational Learning Competency programme first, they must indicate their preferred starting date for this course as either 12 July 2021 or 13 September 2021.
- After completing the Foundational Learning Competency programme, the winner will progress directly into the next intake for Health Promotional Office.
- The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
- ENTRY PERIOD:
- The competition will run from 1/06/2021 to 30/06/2021.
- Closing date for entry will be 30 June 2021. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
- No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
- RULES:
- There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
- Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
- The sponsor’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
- ENTRY PROCESS:
- Route to entry for the competition and details of how to enter are via Facebook [https://www.facebook.com/thutobopheloskills] and TTSA website [http://thutoskills.co.za/bursary]
- To be in the running, entrants must send us their name, contact numbers and a short paragraph about how this bursary would change their lives. This must be sent to TTSA either as a direct message on Facebook OR as a direct message on the TTSA website. The paragraph must be no longer than 100 words in length.
- Entries must be submitted in English and only entries that include the entrants name, contact mobile / landline number and include the short paragraph in a form that is legible will qualify as entries for the giveaway.
- Entry’s must be original work and not violate anyone’s proprietary or intellectual property rights. If a participant has violated this, the will be disqualified immediately. The entrants shall defend or settle against such claims at their own expense.
- All entrants indemnify, deend and hold harmless the sponsor from any suit.
- SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF THE WINNER
- The winner will be announced on 06/07/2021.
- TTSA will allocate a number to each of the entries received and on 02/07/2021, the winning number will be drawn at random from all entries received and verified by the Promoter and / or its agents.
- The winner will be contacted on the mobile / telephone number provided and they will be asked to submit a copy of their ID and proof of their highest qualification. This can be a photograph taken on their mobile phones.
- The winner will be asked to prove that they will be able to take up the learnership and pay for the associated costs (ie accommodation, food and travel expenses required to attend classes and during work experience).
- The winner will complete the necessary TTSA application form and sign the contract as outlined in point 3.2.
- Once this has been completed, the winner will be asked to participate in a photographic shoot where the bursary will be handed over.
- If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 7 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
- RIGHTS GRANTED BY THE ENTRANT
- The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current South African data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
- By accepting the bursary for the Health Promotional Officer, the winner releases and holds harmless TTSA and its subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, etc. against all claims liability, illness, injury, death, loss, etc. that occurs diretly or indirectly from participation in the awarded prize.
- LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
- The sponsor reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the sponsor’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
- The sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, cancel or terminate the giveaway in the event that non-autohrised human intervention, a bug or virus, fraud or other causes beyond our control impact or corrupt the security, fairness, proper conduct or administration of the giveaway.
- The sponsor reserves the right to refuse, withdraw or disqualify entries at our sole discretion.
- The sponsor reserves the right to disqualify anyone who violates the terrms as well as our right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law in cases where a participant has caused deliberate damage or undermined the legal operation of the giveaway.
- The sponsor is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
- The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by South African law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa
- This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or any other Social Network.
